Exports, domestic value and work
FIGARO country-perspective estimates of domestic value added and employment associated with intra- and extra-EU exports. Exporting-industry results include domestic upstream links, not only the exporters themselves.
Important scope: these global-value-chain indicators treat purchases by non-residents in the domestic territory as domestic consumption, not exports. This is not the full tourism contribution. Values are input-output estimates in current prices, not causal jobs created, company profit or the GDP gain from exporting. Domestic and foreign value added need not exhaust gross exports; never infer foreign content as 100 minus the domestic share. Customs goods totals are a different denominator.
All exporting industries
Domestic value as a share of FIGARO gross exports. Greece: 49.30%. Other-country median, Greece excluded: 59.70%.
These industries are selected examples, not an exhaustive sector decomposition. Input-output estimates are revised by vintage.
