The same-year unemployment tables use different denominators from each other. NEET additionally includes inactive people outside education; unemployed students can be in the learning group. These published estimates are a definition contrast, not an exact reconstruction from the four cells.

Not employed includes unemployed and inactive people. Education/training refers to the preceding four weeks. Rounding may produce 100.1%; only differences up to 0.2 points are normalised for bar widths. Larger shortfalls are shown as an unallocated balance, with no assumed cause. Tables and exports preserve exact values. The unemployment rate uses the labour force as denominator, so it is not a fifth segment.
