How did Greece and other programme countries progress?
Align countries by their first programme approval year. Compare subsequent EU-relative consumption or output levels without treating different programmes as the same intervention.
Default: actual individual consumption (AIC), including individual services supplied by government and non-profits. GDP measures production and is particularly affected by multinational activity in Ireland. Neither measure is household income.
Years since approval - AIC per head EU27=100

Spain received banking-sector recapitalisation assistance, unlike the macroeconomic adjustment programmes. Approval years are partial exposure; programmes overlapped different crises and policies. Lines break at source break flags. These are descriptive trajectories, not programme effects. GDP per head can be affected by multinational activity, especially in Ireland; compare consumption and income definitions too.
